DiDi driver requirements in South Australia

In South Australia DiDi asks for two accreditations (driver and operator), an upgraded CTP class, an annual inspection and a car no older than 10 years.

Who regulates DiDi drivers in South Australia

The SA Government's passenger transport rules, published on sa.gov.au, cover three things DiDi checks: your Driver Accreditation (DA), an Operator Accreditation (OA) for running a rideshare service, and vehicle standards including inspections and signage. VIC, QLD and WA ask for one driver-level accreditation or authority (NSW uses a licence condition instead); SA adds a second one at operator level. DiDi's own baseline still applies: smartphone, mobile number and email, the right to work in Australia, an ABN registered for GST (driver tax) and being listed on the insurance. The licence tenure mismatch

DiDi's SA summary asks for 12 months on an unrestricted Australian licence. Its document guidance for the same state says a full licence held in SA for at least 6 months. Until DiDi aligns the two, 12 months is the figure that satisfies both.

Vehicle rules by DiDi service in SA

South Australia is the one state where every DiDi listing agrees: 10 years maximum for Express, Max, Delivery and the Adelaide page. The car also needs at least 4 doors, 4 to 6 passenger seats, no damage or decals, and must not be an ex-taxi.

Inspections happen annually at an approved station, and DiDi notes two such locations across Adelaide. Booking details are on the SA Government page DiDi links to. Compare with other states on vehicle requirements.

Adelaide is DiDi's only SA city

DiDi lists Adelaide alone for South Australia, with Express, Max and Delivery. There are no regional SA pages, so the checklist above is the whole SA picture.

DiDi sets no Adelaide Airport document. To get airport trips, accept the airport's terms in DiDi Driver under Settings, Legal, wait in the rideshare holding area and pick up only in the designated zone. A short trip from the queue (12 km or less) earns priority if you return within 12 hours. Details on airport rides.

Two stickers in SA

Place the DiDi sticker on the rear windscreen, driver's side. SA also requires the inspection sticker on the front windscreen, passenger's side.
