DiDi in Australia

DiDi runs rideshare and parcel delivery in 28 Australian cities across six states and territories, with Express, Max and Delivery available in every one of them.

What DiDi offers in Australia

DiDi is a ride-hailing app from DiDi Global. Its Australian site lists six ways to use it: Express for everyday rides of up to 4 people, Max for bigger groups, Select, Travel for long trips, Negotiate (an offer-based fare option tied to DiDi Travel) and DiDi Delivery for sending parcels. Express, Max and Delivery are available in all 28 cities; other options depend on the city, and the app only shows what works where you are.

Riders pay by card or PayPal through the app, can earn Velocity Points on eligible rides and get an automatic receipt with a tax invoice after each trip.

How to start as a rider

If you want to drive

Drivers need an ABN with GST registration, an unrestricted licence and the accreditation or authority their state requires, plus a vehicle that meets state rules. Start with driver requirements by state, then vehicle requirements, sign-up and earnings.

Where to get help

Rider questions go through the Help Center in the app. Drivers have the in-app Service Centre. The contact and support page lists every official route, including what to do if your account is compromised.
